Uncoated or natural rubber mulch is tire derived recycled rubber that is not painted. This provides for an economical but extremely durable and safe choice for military and police. Rubber mulch, coming from vulcanized tire rubber, is almost indestructible and extremely long lasting. Rubber mulch's dense but loose fill characteristics emulates realistic surfaces found outdoors in the field while delivering an extra level of safety during training applications. Rubber mulch can easily be walked, run and crawled on without significant drag. When climbing obstacles and performing other drills rubber mulch provides for a safe surface should a fall occur. At a 6" depth rubber mulch has a 17' fall height rating which is phenomenal given the performance characteristics described above. Rubber mulch both absorbs impact due to its rubber composition and also disperses the force of impact because it is loose fill - this double safety attribute is what makes rubber mulch so effective at its job.
